Delete your Goalie Account

Last updated: 4 September 2026

This page is the way to request that your Goalie account, and the data tied to it, is deleted.

How to request deletion

  1. (Optional) Export anything you want to keep. From Account, then Export data, download a zip of your goals, notes, and files. Deletion is permanent, and I cannot restore an account afterwards.
  2. Email support@goalie.run from the email address on your Goalie account. Say that you want your Goalie account deleted. If you signed in with Google, use the Google account email you used to sign up.
  3. Wait for confirmation. Wait for a reply to confirm the request, your account and synced data will be deleted from the live servers within 48 hours.

You do not need the app installed. Anyone who can send email from the address on the account can request deletion. If the request comes from a different address, I will ask you to confirm ownership before deleting anything.

Requesting deletion also cancels any active Goalie trial or subscription.

What is deleted

Once the request is confirmed, the following are removed from Goalie’s live servers:

  • Your account, including your name, email address, password hash, and (if you signed in with Google) your Google account identifier
  • The server copy of your goals, projects, timelines, and notes
  • Files you uploaded
  • Access to Goalie, including any active trial or subscription

What is kept

Some records stay because the law requires it:

  • Payment and invoice records. Payments are handled by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record. Invoice records are kept for a minimum of 7 years as required by New Zealand law. I never hold your card number. Paddle’s own privacy policy is at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
  • Data on your own device. The copy of your goals in your browser is yours. Sign out and clear Goalie’s site data from your browser if you want that copy gone too.

How long leftover copies last

  • Live servers: deleted within 48 hours of a confirmed request
  • Server backups: a copy can remain in rolling backups for up to 5 days, then it rolls off. Backups are used only to restore the service after a failure
  • Uploaded files: removed from storage; copies may persist briefly in caches before rolling off
  • Payment records: kept for 7 years
